I know (Moco) Bob Morrill and this is a true story. I knew personally all of the Police Officers on both sides of this dispute. As too often happens petty jealousy and clicks sought to overrule a fine arrest of thug gangsters who committed the murder of a female whistle blower concerning the activities of the prison gang known as the Mexican Mafia (La eMe). Joe Delia and Robert Morrill are two of the finest police officers ever employed by the City of Monterey Park, Ca. I feel for Moco as there were too many lifetime friends who failed him for political reasons and I fully understand the pain in his heart. Great job Bob and Joe. Good book that deals with interoffice politics, gang investigations and overall human nature. We can all relate because we all have dealt with Machiavellian types at work......law enforcers (even criminals, hence snitches) are not exempt... Good job again Moco...
Great book, especially if you are in law enforcement and from the LA area, the ending was not that great (in my opinion) it made it more about jerry brown than about the actual stop.
I enjoyed reading the the book but it ended like their maybe a follow-up to this one. Is their? Maybe.

Great read. I started this book and couldn't put it down. I believe in the Officer and felt that he told his story from the heart. His writing makes you feel that you are with him from the TRAFFIC stop until the very last word in the story. I WANT MORE!
This true police story book was written by an investigatoe who lived the tale. It is not a typical police story because it delves into the inside personnel conflicts that can occur during a major case investigation. Sometimes, everyone loses. This is that kind of story.
